Overview#
Once connected, your assistant can look up your dcluttr data whenever a question needs it. You ask in plain English; it finds the right dataset, runs the query and explains the answer.

}Any app that supports remote MCP servers with sign-in (OAuth) works. Add dcluttr as a remote HTTP server, not a local command, using this URL:
Server URL
streamable HTTP · OAuth
https://mcp.dcluttr.ai/mcpWhen the app connects, a dcluttr page opens. Sign in if you aren't already, tick the brands to share and press Allow. dcluttr doesn't issue API keys, so apps that only accept a key can't connect.
Sign in and permissions#
- 1
Your app opens a dcluttr page
If you're signed in to dcluttr in that browser, you go straight to the approval screen. If not, sign in first. - 2
Choose the brands to share
You see the brands your dcluttr account can access. Tick the ones this app may query. - 3
Press Allow
You're sent back to your app, connected. Your password never leaves dcluttr: the app gets a key that works only for this connection.
What the connection can do
Read only. It looks things up. It can't change budgets, prices, campaigns or anything else in dcluttr.
Only the brands you approved, and only what your dcluttr role can already see.
Stays connected until you disconnect it. Changing or resetting your dcluttr password disconnects every app, and a connection unused for 90 days expires.
Switch brands by asking. Say “switch to <brand name>” to change which approved brand questions use.
Tools#
These are the tools your assistant can call. All of them read data; switch_brand only changes which approved brand this connection uses by default.
| Tool | What it does | Access |
|---|---|---|
| Find the right data | ||
search_datasetsSearch datasets | Finds the datasets that can answer a question, by keyword across names, descriptions, metrics and columns. | Read-only |
search_metricsSearch metrics | Finds a metric, such as weighted OSA or ad spend, across every dataset and shows which platforms have it. | Read-only |
list_datasetsList datasets | Lists every dataset with its grain and a one-line description. | Read-only |
list_metricsList metrics for a dataset | Lists the metrics available in one dataset. | Read-only |
get_dataset_contextGet dataset context | Returns a dataset's columns, metrics, segments and example questions, so queries are written correctly. | Read-only |
| Answer questions | ||
ask_data_questionAsk data question | Turns a plain-English question into a query on the right dataset and runs it, within your approved brands. | Read-only |
run_semantic_queryRun semantic query | Runs a structured query (measures, dimensions, filters and a date range) with guardrails on size and scope. | Read-only |
| Your connection | ||
whoamiWho am I | Shows the dcluttr account this connection uses, the active brand and every brand it may query. | Read-only |
switch_brandSwitch active brand | Changes which of your approved brands later questions use by default. Changes no dcluttr data. | Connection setting |
Example prompts#
Ask the way you would ask an analyst. Name the platform, the period and the metric when you can.
“Why did Zepto availability drop last week for my top 10 SKUs?”
A week-over-week OSA comparison by SKU, with the SKUs that fell the most called out.
Uses
search_datasetsask_data_question“Show Blinkit offtake by SKU for September, with OSA alongside.”
A table of offtake and on-shelf availability for each SKU for the month.
Uses
search_metricsrun_semantic_query“Which Instamart campaigns had ROAS below 2x in the last 14 days?”
The campaigns under 2x ROAS, with their spend and attributed sales.
Uses
search_datasetsask_data_question“Compare our average selling price with competitors on Blinkit this month.”
Your average selling price next to competing brands in the same categories.

Manage or disconnect#
In dcluttr
Open your profile and choose MCP to see your connected apps and disconnect any of them. Org admins see everyone in the organisation. Disconnecting stops access straight away.
In Claude
Go to Customize›Connectors, open dcluttr and disconnect it.

What it can read: data for the brands you approved, limited to what your dcluttr role allows.
What it never gets: your dcluttr password, your chat history, other connectors or your files. Only the requests your assistant sends to dcluttr reach us.
What we log: each tool request and a capped copy of its result, with your dcluttr user id, to run, debug and improve the service. These logs are stored with a third-party observability provider.
Plain-English questions: to turn a question into a query, the question and our dataset descriptions (not your data) may be sent to an AI model provider such as OpenAI.
Read the MCP section of our privacy policy.
Troubleshooting#
No sign-in window opened
Your browser may have blocked the pop-up. Allow pop-ups for claude.ai (or your app) and press Connect again. In Claude Code, run /mcp, pick dcluttr and choose Authenticate. In Codex, run codex mcp login dcluttr.
It says MCP access isn't enabled for my account
MCP access is switched on per dcluttr account. Ask your dcluttr admin to enable it, or contact support with the email you sign in with.
I'm asked to sign in again
A connection ends when someone disconnects it in dcluttr, when you change or reset your dcluttr password, or after 90 days without use. Connect again from your app; if you're signed in to dcluttr it's one click.
New tools don't show up
Start a new chat. In Claude, open Customize › Connectors › dcluttr and choose Refresh tools list. In Claude Code and Codex, start a new session.
My app can't reach mcp.dcluttr.ai
Company networks sometimes block new domains. Ask your IT team to allow https://mcp.dcluttr.ai.
Answers are for the wrong brand
Ask the assistant which brand it's using, then say “switch to <brand name>”. To add a brand you didn't approve, disconnect and connect again, and tick it on the approval screen.
